World Summit On the Information Society

Topic A: Implementation of Free Software for Education.
Topic B: Manipulation of Information with Political Aims.

Recent technological improvements suppose plenty of potential advantages for humanity. Among them the unprecedented availability of information which can be obtained, shared and distributed with ever-quicker ease. However, the lack of economic incentives in some States gives rise to differentials in respect to the population’s access to this information. There is also the issue of governmental and corporational use of information, which can be limited as they please, taking into account only their interests. The World Summit on the Information Society works to guarantee unrestricted access to free, unlimited and truthful information, in order to help create a productive and well informed society.
