Congratulations to Carlos de la Torre Muñoz, alumnus of ITAM’s master in economics for his appointment as Ecuador’s Secretary of Economy and Finance. Carlos de la Torre is an economist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) where he has been a faculty member for more than 20 years as well as being the Director of the Center for Economic Research. He served as a consultant in the Organization of American States (OAS) and in the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
