Dr. Sylvia Meljem Enríquez de Rivera will assume the position of commissioner on the Board of Directors of the banking institution group BBVA as of November, after being approved by the shareholders' meeting.

Dr. Sylvia Meljem has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting and a Master's Degree in Administration from ITAM. Later he obtained his doctorate in Administration Sciences from UNAM. She has served as President of the Mexico Chapter of The Association of Accounts and Financial Professionals in Business from 2015 to 2017. She is currently the Director of the Accounting Research and Linkage Center and Head of the Academic Accounting Department of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
