Congratulations to Dr. Marco Antonio Morales for his appointment as head of the Computer Engineering Program; taking the place of doctor Ana Lidia Franzoni who made a big contribution to the program and who is currently focused in the important chore of technological link for the EPIC Lab, work that she has developed successfully.

Marco Antonio Morales Aguirre is a full time professor and researcher for the Department of Computer Science. His main research focus is motion planning and control of autonomous robots. He has a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Texas A&M, as well as a masters in Electrical Engineering from the UNAM. He has been recognized by the research grant Fullbright/Garcia Robles for studying his doctorate, he received a CONACYT grant for his masters and also the Super-Computing grant from UNAM. He is the vice-chairman and founding member of the Mexican Robotics Federation and Chair of the Mexican Council for the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
