We congratulate Dr. Alejandra Barrera on her appointment as the head of the Business Engineering Program, replacing Dr. Guillermo Abdel, to whom we extend our gratitude for his collaboration in this role.

María Alejandra Barrera Ramírez holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); a Master's degree in Information Technologies and Management from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM); and is an alumna of the Computer Engineering program at ITAM. Her areas of interest include the modeling and simulation of biological systems, information technologies, data mining, data analysis, biorobotics, and business intelligence.

We wish her the greatest success.
