Congratulations to Fernanda Márquez Padilla Casar, alumnae of both the undergraduate and master’s program in economics for winning the 2017 Joaquín Xirac Icaza Economics Award with her thesis When less is more: can reduced health monitoring improve medication adherence? 

Fernanda Márquez has served as a consultant to the World Bank and RAND Corporation; she has also worked in the SHCP, and conducted research in the World Bank. She also holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University.
