On Wednesday October 5, the results of the 2022 Sotero Prieto Award for the best undergraduate thesis in Mathematics were published. They recognized the thesis of 3 alumnae of the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics at ITAM. The prize is arranged by the Mexican Mathematical Society and awards a medal and a diploma as recognition to the first 2 places.

Sofia de la Mora Tostado, who is also a graduate from ITAM's Political Science program, wrote the thesis: "Desmantelamiento de una red de trata de personas”. Meanwhile, María José Domenzain Acevedo wrote the thesis: "El Método de espejos semánticos a través del análisis formal de conceptos". Both thesis were first place. 

In addition, an honorable mention was awarded to Laura Alejandra Franco Solorio for her thesis: "Encajes entre contextos estándar de los retículos de particiones de números enteros".
